Alright, guys, so I spent the whole day diving deep into PUBG and messing around with all the guns. I wanted to figure out, once and for all, which ones are actually worth picking up and which ones you should just leave on the ground. It was a long day, lots of chicken dinners, and a few embarrassing early exits, but here’s what I came up with.
Getting Started
First, I made a list of all the guns. I mean, every single one. ARs, SMGs, Snipers, DMRs, Shotguns, even the pistols. I didn’t want to leave anything out.

Then I needed a way to actually rank them. You know, not just randomly. So, I thought about what really matters in a gunfight:
- Damage: Obviously, how much hurt does it put on?
- Range: Can I hit someone from far away, or is it only good up close?
- Recoil: Does it kick like a mule, or can I actually control it?
- Attachments: Can I slap a bunch of cool stuff on it to make it even better?
- Availability: How easy is it to found these guns?
The Experiment
Armed with my list and my criteria, I jumped into a bunch of games. I tried to use every gun I could find, in different situations. Short-range, long-range, you name it. I even tried to be sneaky sometimes, just to see how different guns worked for different playstyles.
I noted the weapon, map, attachment, and how many kills or damage I got.
The Results (So Far)
Okay, so this is still a work in progress. I’m not gonna lie, it takes a lot of time to really test every gun thoroughly. But here’s some early thoughts, based on my experience today:
- ARs:
- M416 is very user-friendly.
- Beryl M762 have strong power, but really need to practice controling.
- SCAR-L I think is not the best but not the worst.
- SMGs:
- UMP9 felt pretty good.
- I feel Vector is very strong for close combat.
- Snipers:
- AWM, of course, it is a king.
- Kar98k is a classic.
- DMRs:
- SKS is not bad.
- Mini14 is easy to use but not that powerful.
I made my record into Excel, and use some simple formulas to calculate all the data I need.
I’ll keep playing and updating this. It’s gonna be a living document, for sure. Maybe I’ll even try to make some fancy charts or something later on. But for now, this is what I’ve got. Hope it helps you snag a few more chicken dinners!
