Okay, so I’ve been digging into Pokémon GO lately, trying to optimize my team, you know? And I got stuck on this whole Oddish evolution thing. Like, do I go for Vileplume or Bellossom? It’s a classic dilemma, right?
First, I caught a bunch of Oddish. I mean, a lot. Gotta get that candy, and hopefully snag a few with good IVs. I used a few Pinap Berries to do that, speed up the candy collecting.
The Great Evolution Debate
Then came the hard part. I spent some time on Reddit and a few other forums. Seeing what other players recommend. It seemed pretty split, honestly. Some people swear by Vileplume’s raw power, others love Bellossom’s, well, I guess its charm?
- Vileplume: Stronger Grass/Poison type. Good for taking down those pesky Water and Fairy types.
- Bellossom: Pure Grass type. Loses the Poison, which can be good or bad, I guess.
Put into action and get the result
After all my research, and this is just my opinion, I decided to evolve two Oddish. One into each, what the heck, right?
After using both in a few raids and Gym battles, I gotta say, Vileplume’s damage output is noticeably higher. In my opinion, it comes out to my win. Bellossom is cute, but it just didn’t pack the same punch in the battles I used it in. Of course, your experience might be different, maybe depends on your play style, battle, or something.
So, that’s my little experiment. Vileplume for the win, at least for me. You do you, though! Catch those Oddish, and have fun evolving!
