Okay, so I was messing around with Apex Legends the other day, and I got super annoyed with always dropping into hot zones and getting instantly wrecked. I thought, “There’s gotta be a better way to figure out where the next safe zone is gonna be.” So I started digging around to see if I could predict it somehow.
My first thought was, “Maybe there’s a pattern?” So, I started paying super close attention to where the circle was closing. I played a bunch of games and just watched. I literally just ran around, avoiding fights, just to see where the zones ended up.

- I grabbed a notebook (yeah, a real paper one!) and started sketching out the maps.
- I marked the initial ring, then each subsequent ring. It looked like a kindergartner’s art project, but hey, it was a start.
- I tried to see if there was any logic – like, did it always favor high ground? Or stay away from certain areas?
Honestly, at first, it felt totally random. Sometimes it would pull towards the center of the map, other times it would be way off to one side. I was starting to think I was wasting my time.
Trying a Different Approach
Then, I started thinking about it like this: What if the game doesn’t want the circle to be predictable? That’s when I start to collect the data.
- I continued marking down the circle locations. I noticed to record as many circles as possible in the notebook.
- I then start to analyze the data recorded, and trying to identify any clusters, any patterns.
After grinding for a while, I feel there is a weak pattern where circle is predictable, but not too much.I can roughly guess where the next zone is going to be!
So, while I can’t give you a magic formula to predict the Apex zone with 100% accuracy, I can say that paying attention, gathering some data yourself, and thinking about the probabilities can definitely give you an edge. It’s more about educated guesses than perfect prediction.
It is definitely not completely random, keep tracking!
