Okay, so I’ve been wanting to get my hands on this LEGO Star Wars Dengar minifigure for a while now. He’s not exactly a main character, but he’s one of those cool bounty hunters from “The Empire Strikes Back,” and I’m a sucker for those guys. I finally decided to just go for it and add him to my collection.
First thing I did was check a few different places online to see where I could find him. He comes in a couple of different sets, but the one I was after was the 75145 Eclipse Fighter set. Seemed like the easiest way to get him without breaking the bank on some rare, older set.

After a bit of searching, I found a pretty good deal on a local online marketplace. The set was used, but it was complete and in good condition, and the price was right. So, I messaged the seller, we agreed on a price, and I arranged to pick it up.
Picking up the set was easy enough. I met up with the seller, paid for the set and took it home. Got home, and immediately dumped all the pieces out to make sure everything was there. You never know with used sets, right? Thankfully, it was all there, including the Dengar minifigure I was after.
Building the Minifigure
-
Found the instructions online, since they didn’t come in the box.
-
Sorted out the pieces for Dengar. He’s pretty simple, just a few parts.
-
Snapped his legs onto his torso. He’s got that cool brown and white armor.
-
Then I put on his head, which has that unique bandaged look.
-
Attached his backpack, which is a simple brown piece.
-
Finally, I gave him his blaster rifle. It’s a standard LEGO blaster, but it works.
And there he was, Dengar, in all his LEGO glory! He’s joined my other bounty hunter minifigures, and he looks pretty awesome next to Boba Fett and Bossk. Now I just need to track down 4-LOM and Zuckuss to complete the “Empire Strikes Back” bounty hunter crew. The hunt continues!
Overall, it was a pretty smooth process. Found a good deal, got the minifigure I wanted, and added another cool piece to my collection. Can’t complain about that!
