Okay, so I wanted to figure out the best nature for Hydreigon. I mean, this thing is a beast, a three-headed dragon! You gotta make sure it’s set up right.
First thing I did was start playing around with Hydreigon in some battles. I noticed that it hits pretty hard, especially with its special attacks. It’s decent on the physical side, too, but it really shines when it’s blasting out those Draco Meteors and Dark Pulses.

Experimenting in Battles
I tried a few different things, just throwing it into battles to see what felt best. I played some matches with a Hydreigon that didn’t have a specific nature, just to get a feel for its base stats.
- Neutral Nature: It was okay, kinda balanced, but nothing really stood out. Felt like it could be stronger.
Then, after looking around online a little, I saw a lot of people saying that Timid or Modest natures are the way to go. This makes sense, seeing as how those natures boost its Speed or Special Attack, respectively. So, I went and bred a couple of Hydreigon with those natures.
- Timid Nature: This one was definitely faster. It was outspeeding a lot of other Pokemon, which was really useful for getting those big hits in first.
- Modest Nature: Whoa, this one hit like a truck! Its special attacks were just demolishing things. It wasn’t as fast as the Timid one, but the extra power was noticeable.
After messing around with both, I started to see why people recommended these natures. They really let Hydreigon do what it does best – hit hard and fast.
Making the Choice
So, which one did I end up liking more? Honestly, it was tough. Both Timid and Modest are great for Hydreigon. In the end, I have been using my Modest Hydreigon more often. That extra power boost on its special attacks is just too good to pass up. I figured I could always use items or other Pokemon to help with its Speed if I needed to. But I also used a Timid Hydreigon for a while, it’s pretty good.
Ultimately, I think it comes down to your playstyle. If you like to hit fast and first, Timid is a great choice. If you want to maximize your damage output, go with Modest. Either way, you’re gonna have a powerful Pokemon on your hands. So, pick the one that suits your style best and have fun wrecking your opponents!
