So I’ve been playing a ton of Pokemon Go lately, trying to catch ’em all, you know? And I stumbled upon this Slowbro character. It’s kinda derpy looking, but hey, it’s got potential, right?
Figuring Out the Best Moves
First things first, I had to figure out what moves this thing could even learn. I did some digging, checked out a few different sources, and it turns out Slowbro has a decent variety to choose from. You’ve got your fast moves, like Water Gun and Confusion, and then your charged moves, like Psychic, Ice Beam, and Water Pulse.

Experimenting with Different Combos
Now, I’m not one to just blindly follow what everyone else says. I like to get my hands dirty and experiment. So, I started testing out different move combinations. I battled in some gyms, took on some raids, and even fought against my friends to see what worked best.
- Water Gun + Psychic: This was a pretty solid combo. Water Gun is a fast move that helps build up energy quickly, and Psychic hits pretty hard, especially against Fighting and Poison types, which Slowbro is strong against.
- Confusion + Ice Beam: I tried this one out too. Confusion is a bit slower than Water Gun, but it does more damage per hit. Ice Beam is great for coverage against Grass, Ground, Flying, and Dragon types.
- Water Gun + Water Pulse: Okay, this one was a bit of a letdown. Water Pulse just didn’t seem to pack enough punch. It’s a Water-type move, so it gets a Same Type Attack Bonus (STAB), but it still felt weak compared to Psychic.
My Preferred Moveset
After all that testing, I finally settled on a moveset that I think works best for Slowbro: Water Gun as the fast move and Psychic as the charged move. It’s a good balance of speed and power, and it lets me take advantage of Slowbro’s strengths.
Putting It to the Test
With my chosen moveset, I’ve been having a lot more success with Slowbro. It’s not gonna be a top-tier attacker or anything, but it can definitely hold its own in battles. I’ve taken down some pretty tough opponents with it, and it’s always satisfying to see that derpy Slowbro come out on top.
So, there you have it – my journey to find the best Slowbro moveset in Pokemon Go. It was a fun little experiment, and I learned a lot along the way. If you’re looking to use Slowbro in battle, I definitely recommend giving Water Gun and Psychic a try. You might be surprised at how effective this goofy-looking Pokemon can be!
