So, I’ve been trying to figure out this whole “Marvel Snap Collector’s Cache” thing. It’s kinda like those loot boxes in other games, but with some twists. I wanted to get my hands on some new cards, and I heard that the cache system is a good way to do it, but it’s a little confusing.
First, I started playing the game more regularly. You see, you earn these caches by leveling up your Collection Level. It’s basically a track that you progress through as you upgrade your cards. I figured, “Okay, more playing equals more caches, got it!”

Then I dug into the internet to find more info. Found out there’s a pattern to what you get in these caches. It’s not completely random, which is pretty cool. There are these things called “Series” – basically groups of cards – and the caches pull from these series in a set order.
-
Series 1 and 2 are the starting cards and you get through these pretty quick.
-
Series 3 is where it gets interesting, and this is where I am now.
I learned that for Series 3, you get a new card roughly every four caches. So, I started tracking my progress. Every time I opened a cache, I’d mark it down. I’d note if I got a card, credits, or one of those avatar things. It felt like being a scientist or something, haha.
Keeping Track
I even made a little spreadsheet. Yeah, I know, it might be a little much, but it really helped! I could see how many caches I’d opened since my last Series 3 card and it gave me an idea of when I could expect the next one.
What I noticed was that the “pity timer” (that’s what some folks call it) is real. If you go nine caches without a Series 3 card, the next one is guaranteed to have one. I experienced this a couple of times, and let me tell you, it’s a relief when you finally get that card after a dry spell!
This whole process taught me a lot about how the game’s economy works. It’s not just about opening a bunch of caches and hoping for the best. There’s a system to it, and if you understand it, you can kind of predict what you’re going to get.
So, that’s my Marvel Snap Collector’s Cache story. It’s been a bit of a grind, but I’m starting to get a decent collection of Series 3 cards now. And hey, at least I’ve got my spreadsheet to keep me company!
