So, I was trying out this “TFT” thing, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. I’ve been messing around with different champions and team comps, and I finally landed on something that’s been working pretty well for me: Olaf carry.
First, I just randomly picked some champions that looked cool. Didn’t really know what I was doing, to be honest. I was losing. Badly. So, I started to read up on some guides and watch some streamers. That’s when I learned about the importance of synergies and itemization.

Then I started to focus on building around Olaf. He’s a brawler, and I found out that if you get the right items on him and get him some buddies, he can just shred through the enemy team.
The Setup
Here’s what I usually aim for:
- Olaf: He’s the star of the show. We need him.
- Some brawlers: To give Olaf some time to ramp up. It’s not specific, just get some brawlers.
- Some support units: You know, to keep Olaf alive and buff him up.
So, first I tried to get my hands on Olaf as early as possible. Then, I started collecting other brawlers to form a frontline. Early game, it’s all about surviving and building up your economy. I wasn’t too picky about the specific brawlers, just whoever I could find.
Then it’s time to get some items on Olaf. I found that attack damage and attack speed items work best. I tried to get a Bloodthirster, a Guinsoo’s Rageblade, and a Deathblade on him.
As the game went on, I kept upgrading my team. Getting a 2-star Olaf was a big power spike, and then it was a race to try and get him to 3-star. I also tried to get some other strong champions to support him, like a strong frontline unit or someone with good crowd control.
My Findings
- Olaf is a beast: Seriously, with the right items, he just melts through enemies.
- Brawlers are key: They give Olaf the time he needs to do his thing.
- Items matter: I messed around with some different item combinations, and some work way better than others.
It took a lot of trial and error. I lost a bunch of games while figuring things out. But once I got the hang of it, I started winning more and more. It’s super satisfying to watch Olaf just go ham on the enemy team.
So, that’s my story about trying out the Olaf carry strategy in TFT. It’s been a fun learning experience, and I’m still trying to perfect it. If you’re looking for a new comp to try, give it a shot! Maybe you’ll have even better luck than I did.
