Okay, so, today I wanted to get back into Madden 21. You know, get a few games in, maybe crush some noobs online. But I quickly ran into a problem: the servers. Man, what a headache.
Trying to Connect
First thing I did, naturally, was fire up the game. Booted it up, got to the main menu, and tried to connect to the online services. And… nothing. Just a spinning loading icon. I waited, and waited, and waited some more. Still nothing.

So, I thought, “Okay, maybe it’s just a little hiccup.” I closed the game, restarted my console. You know, the usual troubleshooting steps. Tried to connect again. Same problem. The spinning icon of doom.
Checking My Setup
Then, I started to worry. Was it my internet? I did a speed test, checked my connection – everything was fine. I could stream videos, browse the web, no problem. It wasn’t me.
Next, I checked the console’s network settings. Everything looked good there too. My NAT type was open, I was connected, all the usual stuff. Still, no Madden servers.
Reaching Out
At this point, I was starting to get frustrated. I went online, searched some forums, you know, looked for any info on the Madden 21 servers. I saw a few other people complaining about connection issues, but nothing concrete.
Finally, I went to the official EA Help site. It’s a mess, honestly. But I managed to find the server status page. And there it was. Apparently, the Madden 21 servers were experiencing some issues.
Waiting It Out
So, that was it. Nothing I could do but wait. I kept checking the server status page every now and then. After a few hours, it finally showed that the servers were back up. I fired up the game, connected, and finally, I was in!
It was a pain, but I eventually got to play. Just goes to show, even with the latest games, server issues can still be a real drag. Hopefully, EA will get their act together and make sure this kind of thing doesn’t happen too often.
