Okay, so, I’ve been trying to get Aerith’s affection up in Crisis Core. It’s not as easy as you might think! I started out pretty clueless, just doing the main story missions and thinking that would be enough.
First, I focused on doing all those side missions. You know, the ones you get from the mission board in the Shinra Building? I figured, the more missions I complete, the more chances I’d have to run into Aerith, right? So I grinded through those, one after another. Some were super easy, like just killing a few monsters. Others were a bit tougher, but I powered through.

- Did a bunch of missions from the mission board.
- Fought a ton of monsters.
- Got some sweet loot, too!
Then I started talking to Aerith every chance I got. Every time I saw her in the Sector 5 Slums, I would make a beeline for her and start a conversation. Sometimes she’d just say “hi,” but other times we’d have a longer chat. I tried to pick the dialogue options that sounded the most positive and supportive. Basically, I was just trying to be a good friend.
I also made sure to visit her regularly, even when there wasn’t a mission that took me there. I’d just pop in, say hello, and see how she was doing. I think it’s those little things that really make a difference. Like, showing you care, you know?
And those flowers in her church, oh boy. I had to keep them alive, which took a little effort. I kept checking on them, making sure they were doing okay. It got a little tedious at times, but I figured it was important to Aerith, so it was important to me.
I also found out that you can get some unique scenes with her if you do certain things during some of the story missions. I didn’t get all of them on my first try, but I found some hints online that helped. No actual guides, though, just little clues, like the kind of stuff people post on forums.

After all that, I finally started to see some progress. Her dialogue seemed a bit warmer, and she started to open up to me a little more. I wouldn’t say we’re best friends yet, but I definitely feel like we’re getting closer. It’s a slow process, but it feels rewarding to see the little changes in our interactions.
It took some time, and a lot of running around, but I think I’m finally on the right track to maxing out Aerith’s affection. It’s not just about the game mechanics, either. It’s kind of cool to see a relationship develop, even if it’s just a game. It makes the whole experience feel more meaningful.
My advice for anyone else trying to do this? Be patient, be persistent, and just be a good friend. It’s not rocket science, just good old-fashioned effort.
