Alright, today I wanna talk about how I finally beat that Baron Zaudrus in ESO. This dude has been a pain in my side for weeks, and I’ve tried everything. I mean, I went through countless guides, watched tons of videos, but nothing seemed to work. I was starting to think my character was just cursed or something.
So, I started by leveling up my character some more. I figured, maybe I’m just not strong enough yet. I spent a good few days just grinding, doing quests, and exploring dungeons. It was a bit tedious, but hey, gotta do what you gotta do, right? I got a few levels and some new gear, but honestly, I didn’t feel that much stronger.

Tried Different Builds
Next, I thought, okay, maybe it’s my build. I was running a stamina-based Nightblade, which is usually pretty good. But for this fight, it just wasn’t cutting it. I started messing around with different skills and morphs. I even considered respeccing completely, but that’s a lot of gold, and I’m kind of cheap, not gonna lie.
- Tried a magicka build – felt weird and clunky.
- Tried a hybrid build – still wasn’t doing enough damage.
- Stuck with stamina but switched up some skills.
After a lot of trial and error, I finally found a setup that seemed to be working better. I focused on skills that gave me more survivability, like some good heals and shields. I also equipped a set of armor that boosted my damage against undead, since Baron Zaudrus is, you know, undead.
The Actual Fight
The fight itself was still tough. I had to dodge his attacks constantly, and there were these annoying adds that kept spawning. I learned to prioritize them because they could overwhelm me pretty quickly. It was a lot of running around, dodging, and using my abilities strategically.
I died a few more times, but I was getting closer each time. I was figuring out his attack patterns and how to counter them. It was like learning a dance, a really deadly and frustrating dance, but still a dance.
Victory!
Finally, after what felt like a million attempts, I did it. I beat Baron Zaudrus. It was such a relief. I literally jumped out of my chair and cheered. My cat looked at me like I was crazy, but I didn’t care. It was a great feeling, you know? All that hard work paid off.
So yeah, that’s my story of how I finally conquered Baron Zaudrus. It was a long and difficult journey, but I learned a lot along the way. And hey, now I can finally move on to the next challenge, whatever that may be. Probably another boss that’s gonna make me want to pull my hair out, but that’s the life of an ESO player, right?
