Okay, so I’ve been playing Pokemon Go for a while now, and Skarmory has always been one of my favorites. It’s just so cool looking, and it’s a beast in battles. I decided to really dive deep and figure out the best way to use this metal bird.
I started by catching a bunch of Skarmory. I wanted to get a feel for its different moves and see which ones seemed to work best. I used a bunch of candies and stardust to power them up. This process took a while, but I finally got a few high-level ones ready to go.
My Experiment
- First Try: Air Slash and Sky Attack– I figured, “Hey, it’s a flying type, so flying moves should be good, right?” I took this Skarmory into a few gym battles, and it did okay. Nothing amazing, but it held its own. I mean, these moves are good but not that amazing.
- Second Try: Steel Wing and Brave Bird – This is where things got interesting. I noticed a lot of other players using this combo, so I gave it a shot. Boom! This Skarmory was suddenly a monster. Steel Wing seemed to hit harder, and Brave Bird just demolished anything weak to flying. I started winning more gym battles and even taking down some tougher raid bosses. This is a really powerful combo.
- Third Try: Air Slash and Flash Cannon – I wanted to see if a mixed-type approach would work. I tried a Skarmory with these moves. Honestly, it was pretty underwhelming. Flash Cannon just didn’t seem to pack the same punch as Brave Bird, and I found myself losing battles I should have won. It did not work that well.
My Results
After all this experimenting, I definitely agree with what I found online. Steel Wing and Brave Bird is the way to go. It just does so much damage, and the Same Type Attack Bonus really makes a difference. It’s like Skarmory becomes a tiny, feathery tank. It did not take a genius to know that.
So, if you’re looking to make your Skarmory a true powerhouse in Pokemon Go, power it up, and give it Steel Wing and Brave Bird. You won’t regret it! Trust me, I spent hours figuring this out, and now my Skarmory is one of my strongest Pokemon.
