Okay, so, I’ve been grinding away in Road to the Show in MLB The Show 24, and things just weren’t clicking with my current team. I felt like it was time for a change of scenery, you know? So, I decided to figure out this whole trade request thing. It’s not super obvious, so here’s how I finally cracked it.
First thing I did was play a bunch of games. I mean, you gotta show your worth, right? I made sure to boost my player’s stats as much as possible. Hitting dingers, making crazy catches, the whole nine yards. I figured the better I played, the more likely another team would want me.

Then, I started checking in with my agent regularly. You can find him in the “My Ballplayer” menu. Just hit up the “My Career” tab, and then go to “Communications”. Every few weeks, or after a big game, I’d give him a call. Most of the time, he just gave me some generic advice, but I kept at it.
My Call with Agent
- Agent: “Keep playing well, kid. Make yourself valuable.”
- Me: “I’m trying, man! But I’m just not feeling it with this team.”
After a while, I noticed a new option pop up during our conversations. It was something like, “I want to be traded.” It was kind of hidden among the other dialogue choices, so I almost missed it. I selected that option, and my agent basically said he’d look into it.
Now, this is where patience comes in. I kept playing, kept performing, and kept checking in with my agent. I figured I had to show that I wasn’t just a flash in the pan, but also that I wasn’t happy with the situation.
Finally, after a few more in-game weeks, I got a message saying a trade had been made! It was a pretty cool feeling. I got sent to a new team that was a much better fit for my player’s skills and my play style.
So, to sum it up, you gotta play well, talk to your agent, and be patient. It might take some time, but if you’re really not happy with your team, requesting a trade is definitely possible in RTTS 24. Just don’t give up, and keep hustling on the field!
