Alright, let’s talk about how I’ve been using Charged TMs in Pokémon Go. I’ve been playing this game for a while now, and I’ve picked up a few tricks here and there. Charged TMs are super important, especially if you’re into battling, and I’ve definitely had my share of trial and error figuring out the best way to use them.
Getting Started
When I first started using Charged TMs, I was honestly just throwing them at any Pokémon that seemed strong. I didn’t really have a strategy. I’d get a Charged TM, look at my strongest Pokémon, and think, “Yeah, let’s give this guy a new move!” No real thought behind it. I soon realized that this wasn’t the smartest approach. I was wasting valuable TMs on Pokémon that didn’t really need them, or I was giving them moves that didn’t actually help in battles.

Developing a Strategy
So, I started doing some research. I looked up which Pokémon are good for different types of battles – raids, gyms, PvP, you name it. I began to understand the importance of type advantages and how crucial it is to have the right moveset for each Pokémon. Then, I changed my approach. Instead of just using Charged TMs on a whim, I began to:
- Identify Key Pokémon: I focused on Pokémon that are considered top-tier for battling. These are the ones that are worth investing in.
- Research Ideal Movesets: I used online resources to find out what the best Charged Attacks are for each of these Pokémon.
- Prioritize: I saved my Charged TMs for these specific Pokémon and only used them to get those ideal moves.
The Results
This new strategy made a huge difference. My battle teams became way more effective. I started winning more raids, lasting longer in gym battles, and even climbing the ranks in PvP. For example, I had a Machamp that I really wanted to use for raids. I used a Charged TM to change its Charged Attack to Dynamic Punch. This made it way better at taking down Normal-type Pokémon in gyms and raids, which was a game-changer for me. One time, there was this huge Tyranitar raid, and my Machamp with Dynamic Punch totally helped carry the team to victory. It felt awesome!
Tips from Experience
Here are a few more things I learned along the way:
- Be Patient: It might take a few tries to get the Charged Attack you want, so don’t get discouraged if you don’t get it on the first try.
- Elite Charged TMs: These are super rare but they let you choose the exact Charged Attack you want. I saved mine for very specific Pokémon where only one particular Charged Attack would make it usable.
- Community Day Moves: Some Pokémon have special moves that they can only learn during Community Day events. Sometimes, these are the best moves, so it’s worth waiting for these events. Or, again, using an Elite Charged TM is also a way to get these moves.
So yeah, that’s my journey with Charged TMs in Pokémon Go. It’s been a learning experience, but I’m definitely in a much better place now than when I started. Now I have more powerful teams to battle. Hope this helps some of you out there!
