Okay, so I’ve been grinding away at MLB The Show 23, and like many of you, I ended up with a bunch of ballplayers I didn’t really need. I mean, I was trying out different builds, and it got a little out of hand. My roster was a mess! So, I decided to clean house and figure out how to get rid of these extra guys.
Start the Game
First things first, I fired up the game and went straight to my profile icon – you know, the little picture of your ballplayer in the top right corner. It’s pretty easy to spot. Clicked on that, and it took me to a new screen.

Manage My Ballplayers
On this screen, I looked around and saw an option called “My Ballplayers”. Naturally, I clicked on that. It showed me all the ballplayers I had created. And yeah, there were a lot.
Choose and Delete
Now, here’s where it gets a little tricky, but not too bad. I went through my list of ballplayers, found the ones I wanted to delete, and selected them. Once I chose a ballplayer, I saw an option that said “Delete Ballplayer”. I took a deep breath (just kidding, it wasn’t that dramatic) and clicked it.
Confirm the Deletion
The game, being all responsible and stuff, asked me to confirm. It was like, “Are you sure you want to delete this ballplayer?” And since I was sure, I hit “Yes”. Poof! Gone. Just like that, the ballplayer was deleted.
Rinse and Repeat
I did this for each ballplayer I wanted to get rid of. It took a little time, but it was worth it. My roster is much cleaner now, and it’s way easier to manage.
So there you have it. That’s how I deleted my extra ballplayers in MLB The Show 23. It’s a pretty straightforward process once you know where to look. Hope this helps you guys out!
