So, I was out and about today, trying to catch some sun and, you know, get my steps in. Figured I’d fire up Pokemon Go while I was at it, ’cause why not, right? My main goal today was to try and snag a Wingull. I heard they were spawning more frequently.
First things first, I made sure my phone was charged and I had plenty of Pokeballs. Nothing worse than running into a Pokemon you want and having no way to catch it. I also grabbed some berries, just in case I found a stubborn one. With everything set, I started walking around my neighborhood.

I walked for about, I don’t know, maybe 30 minutes? Saw a few Pidgeys and Rattatas, caught them just for the XP and Stardust, you know how it is. But no Wingull in sight. I was starting to get a little bummed, not gonna lie.
Then, I decided to head over to the park. There’s a little pond there, and I figured a Water-type like Wingull might be more likely to show up near water. It’s just common sense, right?
- Walked to the park.
- Checked around the pond area.
- Still no Wingull!
I was about to give up, honestly. I circled the pond a couple of times, even used an Incense to try and attract more Pokemon. Caught a few more common ones, but still no Wingull. I was getting ready to call it a day and head back home. Feeling defeated, you know?
But then, just as I was about to close the app, I saw it! A little Wingull, right there on the edge of the pond. My heart started racing, I was so excited! I tapped on it, threw a Great Ball just to be safe, gave it a Razz Berry to increase my chances. One shake, two shakes, three shakes… and it was caught!
Success!
Finally got my Wingull! It wasn’t the strongest, but I didn’t even care. I was just happy to finally catch one after all that searching. It took some time and, frankly, a bit of frustration, but, hey, that’s Pokemon Go for you. You win some, you lose some. Today, I won. Time to evolve it and see what happens. Wish me luck, folks!
