Okay, so, I’ve been playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons for a while now, and I’ve always been a huge fan of collecting all the artwork. I mean, who doesn’t love turning their museum into a fancy art gallery? But let me tell you, getting that ancient statue has been a real pain.
First, I waited for Redd to show up on my island. He’s that sneaky fox who sells art, and sometimes it’s real, sometimes it’s fake. It’s like a lottery, except with more fox and less money. I checked my island every day, running around like a crazy person, hoping to see his boat docked at the secret beach. It took forever, but he finally showed up.

I sprinted to his boat, heart pounding, hoping he’d have the ancient statue. And guess what? He did! But here’s the kicker: you can only buy one piece of art per day. So I carefully examined it, comparing it to the pictures I found online, trying to make sure it wasn’t a fake. The fake ones have these little details that are off, it’s wild.
Authenticating
- I used an online guide to verify the authenticity of the statue. It’s really hard to tell them apart, you need to pay attention to every single detail!
- The real ancient statue doesn’t have any antenna. The fake one does!
- It took me a good ten minutes, going back and forth between the game and the guide, my eyes were killing me.
After what felt like an eternity, I was pretty sure it was the real deal. I bought it, handed over my hard-earned Bells, and waited impatiently for the next day. It felt like the longest wait ever! When it finally arrived in the mail, I ripped open the package and rushed to the museum.
I presented the statue to Blathers, the museum owl, holding my breath. He scrutinized it, making these little owl noises that always make me nervous. Then, he finally announced it was real! I nearly jumped for joy. I placed it in the art exhibit, and man, it looked glorious.
So yeah, that’s how I finally got the ancient statue in Animal Crossing. It was a whole ordeal, but totally worth it. Now my museum is one step closer to being complete. Time to hunt down the rest of those pesky statues and paintings! Wish me luck, guys!
