I’ve been messing around with Obsidian lately, trying to personalize it a bit. You know, make it feel more “me”. One thing I wanted to tweak was the eye color in the interface. So, I started poking around the settings, figuring there’d be a simple option somewhere.
I searched through the appearance settings first, thinking it might be tucked away there. No luck. Then, I checked the editor settings, maybe it was related to the text display or something. Still nothing.

Feeling a bit stumped, I started looking into Obsidian’s themes. Maybe it was a theme-specific setting? I installed a few different themes, switching between them, hoping to find one that let me customize the eye color. Nope, that wasn’t it either.
Next, I figured it might be a plugin thing. I browsed through the community plugins, looking for anything related to UI customization or color settings. I found a couple of plugins that seemed promising, like “Style Settings” and “Hider”. I installed them and started playing around with their options.
Using the Style Settings plugin
- After installing the Style Settings plugin, I opened its settings panel.
- I started to explore various themes and their associated options.
- I noticed that some themes had settings specifically for the eye color.
- I found a setting that allowed me to change the eye color to my preference.
- I tested a few color options and selected one that I liked.
- I saved the changes and observed the updated eye color in the interface.
Finally, success! It wasn’t as straightforward as I initially thought, but I managed to change the eye color to something I liked. It’s amazing how much a small tweak like that can make the whole interface feel more personalized and enjoyable to use.
So, yeah, that’s how I ended up changing the eye color in Obsidian. A bit of a roundabout journey, but hey, I got there in the end. And now my Obsidian feels a little bit more like home.
