Alright, so I wanted to jump into “Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin” with my buddies. I got the game on my Xbox Series X, thinking it’d be a blast to play together.
Trying to Connect
We all got the game fired up, ready to go. But then, we hit a snag. My friend, who’s on a PlayStation 5, couldn’t join my game. We tried everything – restarting the game, checking our internet, you name it. Nothing worked.

Figuring It Out
So, I went online, did some digging. Turns out, “Stranger of Paradise” doesn’t let you play across different console families. That’s a real bummer. Basically, if you’re on Xbox, you can only play with other Xbox folks. Same goes for PlayStation players.
- Xbox Series X/S: Can only play with other Xbox players.
- PlayStation 4/5: Can only play with other PlayStation players.
The Letdown
Man, that was a letdown. We were all hyped to play together, and this just threw a wrench in our plans. We ended up playing separately, which wasn’t nearly as fun.
Wrapping Up
So, yeah, that’s my experience with trying to crossplay in “Stranger of Paradise.” It’s a shame, really. Hopefully, they’ll add this feature in the future. But for now, you gotta stick with players on the same console type as you. Keep that in mind if you’re planning to play with friends.
