Okay, so I’ve been playing a ton of Pokemon Go lately, right? And this one Pokemon, Rhyperior, has been giving me a real headache in raids. It’s like, super tanky and hits like a truck. I knew I had to figure out a way to take this beast down more easily.
So, I did what any reasonable person would do – I started experimenting. First, I tried throwing just whatever strong Pokemon I had at it. You know, my usual heavy hitters. That didn’t go so well. Rhyperior just shrugged them off like it was nothing. I realized I needed a more, uh, strategic approach.

Then, I remembered that Rhyperior is a Ground and Rock type. I went to check the details to make sure that I was right. And I was. It’s super weak to Water and Grass attacks. Like, double weakness. I started to feel like I was onto something.
Finding the Best Counters
Now, it was time to put together a team. I went through my Pokemon and picked out my strongest Water and Grass types. The first one is a beast Kyogre, with Waterfall and Surf. That’s a classic combo for a reason – it just shreds through anything weak to Water. It did really well in my test.
Next, I grabbed my trusty Swampert. Hydro Cannon is just insane, especially during community days. I tried it out, and bam, Rhyperior’s health just melted away. I made a note to myself that I need to collect more candy for these.
- Kyogre: I used Waterfall and Surf, it worked like a charm.
- Swampert: Hydro Cannon go brrr.
- Mega Venusaur: Vine Whip and Frenzy Plant were surprisingly effective.
- Torterra: Razor Leaf and Frenzy Plant, same deal, solid damage.
I also tried a few others, like a Mega Venusaur with Vine Whip and Frenzy Plant. That thing did some serious work! And then a Torterra, you know, the one with Razor Leaf and Frenzy Plant? Same deal, solid damage.
After a few more raids, I felt pretty confident in my new Rhyperior-busting team. I was taking them down much faster, and with fewer fainted Pokemon. It felt good to finally crack the code, you know? Now, I can farm Rhyperior raids with my friends.
So yeah, that’s my little Pokemon Go adventure for the week. Hope this helps someone else who’s struggling with Rhyperior. Just remember, Water and Grass, Water and Grass. You got this!
