Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this build in Destiny 2, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. I’m talking about the Lucent Blade build, and I wanted to share my whole experience with you guys, from start to finish.
First off, I started by doing some digging. You know, checking out what other people were saying about this build. Seemed pretty popular, so I figured I’d give it a shot. The main idea, as far as I could tell, was to stack up Charged with Light mods and then use the Lucent Blade mod to get a huge damage boost on my sword.

So, I grabbed some basic Charged with Light mods. Things like “Taking Charge” which makes you charged with light when you pick up an orb of power and “Protective Light”, which gives damage resist when your shields are broken if you are charged with light. I equipped all this stuff, slapped on a decent sword, and jumped into a few low-level activities to get a feel for it.
Getting the Hang of It
- First, I tried out some simple patrols. Just running around, killing enemies, and seeing how the mods worked together.
- Then, I moved on to some Lost Sectors. A bit tougher, but still manageable. This is where I really started to notice the power of Lucent Blade. My sword was hitting like a truck!
- After that, I felt confident enough to try some Nightfalls. This is when I really started fine tuning the build.
Honestly, it was a bit clunky at first. I kept forgetting to pick up orbs to get Charged with Light. But once I got the hang of it, it was awesome. I was melting through enemies. Bosses that used to take forever to kill were going down in seconds.
Next, I decided to take it up a notch. I swapped out some mods, experimented with different swords, and even tried different subclasses. The whole process was a lot of trial and error. Some things worked great, others… not so much.
Almost There
One thing that I screwed up was I used the wrong kind of mod. I put the wrong mod on my armor. It didn’t give me the damage boost on my sword like I wanted, but instead I could carry more heavy ammo. What a waste.
After fixing the wrong mod, the build worked as intended. I cleared a bunch of difficult content and was happy with it.
Finally, I felt like I had a pretty solid build. It wasn’t perfect, but it was definitely powerful. I was able to solo some pretty tough content, and it felt amazing. The Lucent Blade build was living up to the hype!
So yeah, that’s my story with the Lucent Blade build in Destiny 2. It’s a powerful build, but it definitely takes some practice to get used to. If you’re looking for something new to try, I’d definitely recommend giving it a shot. Just be prepared to put in a little bit of work to make it shine!
