Alright, folks, gather ’round, gather ’round! Your old buddy’s here to share a little story about my recent adventure with MLB The Show 23. Specifically, I’m gonna walk you through how I figured out updating those darn rosters. It wasn’t a walk in the park, let me tell ya, but we got there in the end.
So, there I was, all excited to jump into some baseball action. Turned on my console, fired up MLB The Show 23, and guess what? The rosters were all out of whack! It was like stepping back in time, seeing players on teams they hadn’t been on for ages. Not cool, not cool at all.

Now, I’m no tech whiz, but I’m not one to back down from a challenge either. So, I rolled up my sleeves, and I started poking around. First thing I did was head to the main menu screen. You know, the one with all the shiny options and whatnot.
From there, I spotted this little settings wheel up in the top right corner. It was kinda hidden, but once you see it, you can’t miss it. Gave that a click, and boom, a whole new menu popped up.
Next, I saw something called “File Management.” Figured that sounded like the place to be if you wanna mess with files and data and all that jazz. So, I clicked on that, and then I saw the “Load” option. That’s gotta be it, right? Loading new data?
- Main Menu – That’s where we started.
- Settings Wheel – Top right corner, folks.
- File Management – That’s where the magic happens.
- Load – Bingo! This is how I got those fresh rosters.
- Live Roster – And here is the latest rosters in real-time.
I clicked “Load,” and wouldn’t you know it, there it was! An option to pick the Live Roster. I selected that, and after a bit of loading, bam! My rosters were updated, fresh as a daisy. It was like a whole new game, seeing all the players where they belonged.
So, there you have it. That’s my little journey of updating the rosters in MLB The Show 23. It took a bit of trial and error, but I got there. Now, every time I fire up the game, I make sure to check and see if any new roster updates are available. It keeps things fresh and exciting, you know? Keep on swingin’, folks!
