Alright, so I wanted to get the latest rosters in MLB The Show 23. I gotta say, it took me a little bit to figure it all out, but I finally got there. I’m gonna walk you through it, just in case you’re scratching your head like I was.
First thing I did was boot up the game. Once I got to the main menu, I started looking around for something that said “rosters” or “update”. Nothing. Hmm, okay. So, I poked around a little more.

Then, it hit me. I went over to the “create” section. Seemed like a weird place to put it, but hey, whatever works, right? Lo and behold, there it was – “Roster Update.” I clicked on that bad boy.
- Step 1: Fire up MLB The Show 23.
- Step 2: Go to the main menu.
- Step 3: Look for a “Create” option.
- Step 4: You’ll see “Roster Update” in there. Click it!
After that, it started downloading the latest player data. I noticed some changes, like Evan Phillips is now RP for the Dodgers, Jose Alvarado is now CP for the Phillies, and Craig Kimbrel is now RP for the Phillies. Jose Leclerc is now CP for the Rangers. Also, Mason Thompson is now SP for the Nationals, Eric Lauer is now SP for the Brewers, and Sean Reid-Foley is now SP for the Mets. And Ben Lively, guess what? He’s now SP for the Reds. Man, lots of moves.
My Thoughts
Honestly, it wasn’t as straightforward as I thought it would be. But once I found it, it was smooth sailing. I just wanted to share this little adventure of mine in case any of you were having trouble too. Now I’m all set with the updated rosters, and it’s time to play ball!
Hope this helps someone out there!
