Alright, so, I’ve been having this annoying issue with Pokemon Go lately. I wanted to grab some extra PokeCoins, you know, to buy some incubators and raid passes. I launched the app, clicked on the shop icon, and tried to buy the coins. But guess what? It just wouldn’t let me. The transaction wouldn’t go through. It kept showing an error message. I tried to do it multiple times, and it still didn’t work.
I thought it might be a problem with my internet, so I switched from Wi-Fi to mobile data and tried again. Still no luck. Then, I even restarted my phone, thinking that might help, but nope, nothing changed. I can’t buy PokeCoins in Pokemon Go, and I do not know why. I felt so frustrated because I really wanted to do it.

Then, another site mentioned that it could be due to technical glitches or account issues. That sounded more likely, so I tried to think of anything that could affect my account. I remembered that I had recently updated the app. I thought maybe the update messed something up. I also considered that maybe my account was flagged for some reason, but I couldn’t think of anything I did wrong.
- Checked for updates: I made sure the app was up-to-date, but I already had the latest version.
- Verified account: I checked my account details to make sure everything was correct, and it seemed fine.
I even came across a forum post where someone said they had the same problem after making a duplicate purchase. I didn’t think I did that, but I checked my purchase history just in case. There were no duplicate purchases, so that wasn’t the issue either.
One thing that did work was logging out and logging back in. I closed the Pokemon Go app, logged out of my account, and then logged back in. And after that, I tried to purchase the PokeCoins again, and this time it worked! The transaction went through, and I finally got my coins.
So, yeah, it was a whole ordeal just to buy some PokeCoins. But hey, at least I figured it out in the end. It’s still a mystery why it happened in the first place, but I’m just glad I can finally buy some incubators and raid passes again. It was frustrating, but I learned a lot about troubleshooting app issues. And I guess now I know what to do if it happens again.
