Alright, so I’ve been messing around with Absol in my game lately, trying to get the best moveset. Let me tell you, it’s been a journey. I started off just slapping on whatever looked cool, but that didn’t really get me anywhere. Then I started doing some digging, you know, actually reading up on what other people are doing.
Turns out, there’s a whole world of strategy out there. Who knew? So, I found out that Knock Off and Sucker Punch are like, the go-to moves for Absol. I equipped these two moves first.

I started with Knock Off. At first, I just put it on because it did damage, but man, I quickly found out how useful it is to get rid of the opponent’s item. It’s saved me so many times, especially against those bulky guys who rely on their Leftovers or whatever.
- Equip “Knock Off”
- Use “Knock Off” on a Pokémon with a powerful item
- Watch the opponent’s strategy crumble
Then there’s Sucker Punch. This one was a bit trickier for me to get the hang of. I kept using it at the wrong time, and it would just fail. But once I figured out how to predict my opponent, oh boy, it hits hard. It’s all about mind games, you know? You gotta make them think you’re gonna do one thing, and then BAM! Sucker Punch!
- Equip “Sucker Punch”
- Practice predicting the opponent’s moves
- Use “Sucker Punch” when they’re about to attack
I tried out some other moves too, like Pursuit. They say Absol has the strongest Pursuit in the tier. Honestly, I haven’t really used this to its fullest yet, but from what I’ve seen, it’s pretty nasty when you switch out. I’m still experimenting with that one, so it didn’t become my core move yet.
Putting it all together
So yeah, after a lot of trial and error, I’ve found that Knock Off and Sucker Punch are the way to go. And now I kept practicing with these two moves, getting better at predicting and all that. My Absol is way stronger now. It’s not just about hitting hard, it’s about outsmarting your opponent, too.
I’m still learning, of course. There’s always more to discover, but I’m pretty happy with where my Absol is at right now. It’s been a fun ride, and I can’t wait to see what else I can do with it.
