Okay, so I’ve been grinding hard on Pokemon GO lately, and I really wanted to get my hands on that awesome White Kyurem. I heard it was popping up in raids, so I figured I’d give it a shot.
First things first, I did a little digging online to see what this beast was all about. Turns out, Kyurem is a Dragon/Ice-type, which means it’s got some specific weaknesses. I found out that Fighting, Rock, Dragon, Steel, and Fairy moves are super effective against it. Good to know!

Then I started thinking about which Pokemon I had that could dish out those types of attacks. I have a pretty decent Machamp with Counter and Dynamic Punch, so that was an easy pick. I also powered up my Metagross with Bullet Punch and Meteor Mash, since Steel is another weakness. Also, I have a pretty strong Hariyama and Lucario that I figured could do some serious damage.
With my team in mind, I started checking out the local raid scene. I used some of the raid map apps to see where White Kyurem was spawning. Found a few raids happening nearby, so I grabbed my phone and headed out.
Round One: Failure
The first raid I joined had a good number of people, which was promising. But man, White Kyurem was way tougher than I expected! It has some crazy strong moves. We went at it hard, but our Pokemon started fainting left and right. In the end, we ran out of time and didn’t manage to take it down. Bummer.
Round Two: Getting Closer
I didn’t give up, though. I healed up my Pokemon and jumped into another raid. This time, I paid more attention to dodging Kyurem’s attacks. It made a bit of a difference, but we still fell short. Still, I felt like I was getting closer.
Round Three: Success!
Alright, third time’s the charm! I joined another raid, and this one had a really solid group of trainers. We were all dodging like pros and hitting Kyurem with everything we had. I made sure to use my Machamp, Metagross, Lucario, and Hariyama, and they were really doing work. Finally, we managed to defeat it with some time to spare! I was so pumped!
Then came the best part – catching it! I used Golden Razz Berries and tried my best to land those Excellent throws. It broke out a few times, but I didn’t panic. And then, bam! I caught it! My very own White Kyurem!.

Here’s a quick rundown of what I learned:
- White Kyurem is tough, so bring your strongest Fighting, Rock, Dragon, Steel, and Fairy-type Pokemon.
- Dodging is key! It can save your Pokemon from fainting too quickly.
- Teamwork makes the dream work. The more people in the raid, the better your chances.
- Don’t give up! It might take a few tries, but it’s totally worth it.
So yeah, that’s my White Kyurem story. It was a bit of a grind, but I’m so glad I stuck with it. Now I’ve got one of the coolest Pokemon in the game, and I’m ready to take on whatever comes next! Hope my little adventure helps you out if you’re trying to catch one too!
