Okay, so today I wanted to share my experience with Zyra in URF mode, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. I jumped into a few games, and here’s how it went down.
First off, I started experimenting with different builds. According to some data, the most popular build includes Liandry’s Torment, Sorcerer’s Shoes, and Rylai’s Crystal Scepter. Sounds like a plan, right? So, I jumped into my first game all excited to try this out.

Game 1: I went with the recommended build. In the first game, I rushed Liandry’s Torment. Man, the burn damage was insane! Every time I landed a spell, it felt like the enemies were just melting away. I paired that with the magic penetration from Sorcerer’s Shoes, and it was like my plants were hitting them with trucks. Lastly, I got Rylai’s Crystal Scepter, which slowed enemies down so my plants could keep munching on them. The game was a blast; we dominated, and I felt like a botanical god.

Game 2: I tried to get creative. Feeling adventurous, I decided to mix things up. I looked into other suggestions and decided to get a little bit creative with the order of items. I still started with Liandry’s Torment because, let’s be honest, it’s amazing. But this time, I built Rylai’s Crystal Scepter before Sorcerer’s Shoes. It made sense in my head, but in practice? Not so much. I mean, the slow was great, but I felt like I was lacking that early magic penetration. We still won, but it wasn’t as smooth as the first game.

Game 3: All about those runes. After messing with items, I thought, why not dig into runes? I found a suggestion to use runes that focused on extra damage and ability haste. So, I set up my runes accordingly. I have to say, the combination of the right runes and the standard build was fire! I could spam my abilities non-stop, and my plants were sprouting up everywhere. It was a total plant party, and the enemy team couldn’t handle it. This was by far my favorite setup.
Tips and Tricks
One thing I learned the hard way is that Zyra’s seeds can be destroyed by enemies stepping on them. So, I had to be careful about where I placed them. It became a mini-game of its own, trying to predict where the enemies would step. Sometimes I’d get it right, and other times, not so much. But hey, that’s part of the fun, right?
Another tip is to constantly adjust your strategy based on the enemy team comp. If they had a lot of mobile champions, focusing on the slow from Rylai’s Crystal Scepter was a lifesaver. If they were tanky, the magic penetration from Sorcerer’s Shoes was crucial.
All in all, playing Zyra in URF mode is a total blast. You get to spam abilities, create a jungle of deadly plants, and just have a ton of fun. It’s a bit of trial and error, but once you find the right combination of items and runes, you’ll be unstoppable. I definitely recommend giving it a try!
