Alright, so I wanted to make some extra cash, you know, just chilling at home. I’ve heard a lot about this “affiliate marketing” thing, and it sounded pretty sweet. Basically, you promote other people’s stuff and get paid if someone buys through you. Easy, right?
I did some digging and stumbled upon this company called Ryse. They sell supplements and stuff, and I thought, “Hey, I’m into fitness, why not?” They had this affiliate program, and I was like, “Sign me up!”

So, I went to their website and looked for the affiliate section. I filled out their forms, you know, name, email, the usual stuff. Also, how I planned to promote them, which was mainly through my blog and social media.
But then, things got a bit weird. I got this message saying they weren’t accepting new affiliates at the moment. “Join our waitlist below,” it said. Talk about a bummer.
I even tried to find a way to contact them, maybe ask what’s up. But I found nothing. I mean, I wanted to promote their stuff, make them some money, and get a little something for myself, and they are making it difficult.
I’ve got to say, this whole affiliate marketing thing isn’t as easy as those online gurus make it sound. They’re always like, “Oh, just pick a niche you love, promote products, and boom, you’re rich!” But it’s not that simple.
My takeaway from this whole Ryse experience?
- First, finding an affiliate program that’s actually accepting new people is a challenge in itself.
- Second, even if a company seems like a good fit, they might not be interested in working with you.
- Finally, this whole thing is way less straightforward than people say.
I’m not giving up on affiliate marketing, though. I’m sure there are other companies out there that are more welcoming. I just need to keep digging. Maybe I’ll try a different niche, something less crowded. Who knows? This whole online money-making journey is definitely a learning experience.
If you are interested in affiliate marketing, do not put all your eggs in one basket. Always try some more companies.
Keep trying and learning.
Update
I’m still on the waitlist, I will update if I get accepted.
