Alright, so I wanted to figure out this whole “touch pass” thing in Madden 24. It sounded cool, but I kept messing it up. Basically, I was just tapping the buttons like I usually do for a normal pass, and it wasn’t working out. My passes were either way too strong or just flopped.
So, I did some digging and saw that a lot of people said the trick is to fully press the receiver button, but not tap it. It’s like, you gotta hold it down for a little bit longer than a tap, but not so long that you end up doing a lob or bullet pass, it’s in the middle.
I jumped into practice mode to try this out. First few times, I still messed it up. I was either not pressing long enough or holding it for too long. It’s kind of a feel thing, you know? You gotta get that timing just right. I’d say it is not a long time, but neither a short tap, I think maybe 0.5 seconds or so.
But then, after a while, I started getting the hang of it. I practiced with different receivers, on different routes, just trying to get that feel for how long to hold the button down. And let me tell you, once you get it, it’s a game changer.
- I started with short passes to my running back in the flat.
- Then I moved on to longer passes to my receivers on slants and crossing routes.
- Finally, I am able to do some touch pass to a deep route.
It took me a while to practice
It really does take some practice, but it’s worth it. Don’t get discouraged if you don’t get it right away. Just keep practicing, and you’ll start to feel the difference. My accuracy went way up, and I was able to fit the ball into tighter windows. So yeah, that’s my experience with learning the touch pass in Madden 24. It’s all about that button press, finding that sweet spot between a tap and a full-on hold. Just gotta keep at it, and you’ll be throwing dimes in no time!
