Okay, so I’ve been diving deep into MLB The Show 24 lately, and one thing I really wanted to figure out was how to request a trade. It’s not super obvious, so I messed around with it for a while and figured I’d share what I found.
Start in Road to the Show
First off, you gotta be in Road to the Show mode. That’s where you create your player and guide him through his career, right? So, I loaded up my save and got into the main clubhouse screen.

Find Your Agent
- From the clubhouse, you’ll see a bunch of options. I navigated to the “My Ballplayer” section.
- Next, you’ll want to look for the “My Career” option. Click on it.
- Then, I went into “Communicate.” This is where it gets interesting.
- You should see an option called “My Agent.” That’s your guy! Or, you know, your in-game guy.
Make Your Request
After hitting “My Agent,” you get a list of options. One of them is “Request a Trade.” I clicked that bad boy, and boom, it initiates the trade request process. It’s not instant, though. Your agent will tell you he’ll get to work on it, and you kinda just have to play through some games and wait.
Wait and See
I kept playing, and after a few in-game days, I got a notification that my trade request was being considered. Eventually, I got another notification saying I was traded to a new team! It was pretty cool to see it actually happen.
Things to Keep in Mind
Just remember, your agent might not always be able to get you to the exact team you want. And there’s always a chance the trade won’t go through at all. But hey, that’s baseball, right? It wouldn’t be realistic if you could just jump to any team you wanted at any time.
So, there you have it. That’s how I figured out how to request a trade in MLB The Show 24. It took some trial and error, but I got there in the end. Hopefully, this little guide helps some of you out there who were also wondering how to do it. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got a new team to lead to the World Series!
