Alright, so I’ve been digging into MLB The Show 24, and let me tell you, it’s been a ride. I was super stoked about all the new stuff they added, like the Storylines mode. Reliving some of those classic baseball moments? Sign me up! I jumped right into Derek Jeter’s career, and man, it was pretty awesome.
But here’s the thing, I started playing Franchise Mode, and I got stuck. I wanted to mess around with my player’s position. You know, just to switch things up a bit. See how he’d do somewhere else on the field. But I couldn’t figure out how to do it! I poked around in all the menus, clicked every button I could find, and nothing. It was driving me nuts! I felt like I was missing something obvious, or maybe it just wasn’t possible.

So, I did what any sane person would do – I took a break. Stepped away from the game for a bit, cleared my head. When I came back, I decided to try a different approach. Instead of trying to change my guy’s position in the middle of Franchise Mode, I started a new one. And guess what? It’s worked!
It seems that during the initial setup you can actually play around with positions. I spent a good while messing with different setups. I made my player a pitcher, then a catcher, then back to his original spot. It was like a whole new world of possibilities opened up!
- Start a new Franchise: Don’t try to change it mid-game.
- Explore the initial setup: When you’re setting up your player and team, that’s where you find your setting.
- Experiment with it: Try out different positions, see what you like.
So, there you have it. If you’re like me and you were pulling your hair out trying to figure out how to change your position in MLB The Show 24, hopefully, this little story helps you out. Turns out, I should think out of the box sometimes. It’s all about starting fresh and playing around with the settings when you’re first creating your player. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got a game to get back to!
