Okay, so, I got into this whole amiibo thing, specifically those cute little cards. Today, I’m gonna share my experience with the “Julia” amiibo card.
First off, I had to get my hands on one of these cards. Amiibo are basically these little figures or cards that you can use with your Nintendo Switch. They are really cool, collectable and they work with certain games.
Getting Started
I snagged the Julia card online because she’s pretty popular, you know, a bit rare. Once I had the card, the next step was figuring out how to use it. Luckily, it’s super straightforward.
Using the Card
- Power Up: First, I made sure my Switch was on. No brainer, right?
- Game Time: Then, I booted up a compatible game. Not all games work with amiibo, so you gotta check that. I used it with Animal Crossing, because that’s where Julia is from.
- Tap It: In the game, there’s usually a spot where it tells you to use your amiibo. I just tapped the Julia card on the right Joy-Con stick. That’s where the NFC reader is. You can also tap it on the Nintendo Switch logo on the pro controller.
Boom! Just like that, Julia popped up in my game. It was pretty cool to see her there. Depending on the game, you can get different things with amiibo. Sometimes it’s new characters, other times it’s items or bonuses.
What I Got
With Julia, I was able to invite her to my campsite in Animal Crossing. It was a bit of a process, inviting her a few times over a couple of days. But, eventually, she agreed to move to my island. Pretty sweet, right?

All in all, using the Julia amiibo card was a fun experience. It’s a neat way to get more out of your games. Plus, these cards are fun to collect.
