Alright, so let me tell you about this whole Kyurem raid thing in Pokémon Go. I started my day like any other, grabbed my phone, and launched the app. You know, the usual routine to see what’s up in the Pokémon world.
First thing I noticed was this alert about a Kyurem raid popping up nearby. Now, I’ve been playing for a while, but I haven’t really gotten into the whole raiding scene that much. I’ve always thought that it’s too hard to find enough people to do that. But, a legendary Pokémon? That’s not something you see every day, right? So, I thought, “Why not give it a shot?”

I checked the details, and it was a five-star raid, which I knew meant it was gonna be tough. I had heard of this pokemon before, but never seen it in the game. This was exciting! I quickly looked up some guides online to figure out the best counters. I saw some words about what types of Pokémon were good against it – stuff like Fighting, Rock, Dragon, and Steel. Luckily, I had a few of those types in my collection, so I started picking out my best ones. I picked a Machamp, a Metagross, and even a Dialga I was lucky enough to catch a while back.
Then came the tricky part – actually finding the raid. I walked around my neighborhood, and finally, I spotted the gym where the raid was happening. There were a few other players hanging around, which was a good sign. I guess I wasn’t the only one tempted by the chance to catch a Kyurem. I joined the raid lobby, and we waited for the countdown. The lobby is important because you need other real players to beat the pokemon with you.
Once the raid started, it was intense! Kyurem was no joke. It had these powerful Ice and Dragon-type moves that could take out your Pokémon real quick. We all threw in our best fighters, tapping away like crazy. It was a real nail-biter, with our Pokémon fainting left and right. But we kept at it, chipping away at Kyurem’s health.
Finally, with just a few seconds left on the clock, we managed to defeat it! It was such a rush! The feeling when you see that big Pokémon go down and you know you’ve won, that’s something else.
After the battle, came the chance to catch it. You get these special Premier Balls, and the number you get depends on how well you did in the raid. I had like 10 balls. I used some golden razz berries to increase my chances. The first few throws, Kyurem kept breaking out. My heart was pounding. Then, on the seventh or eighth throw, I got a critical catch! That meant it was a guaranteed catch. Boom! Kyurem was mine!
I was so stoked. It wasn’t just about adding a new Pokémon to my collection, but also the whole experience of the raid. Teaming up with other players, the challenge of the battle, and the thrill of the catch – it was all pretty awesome. This experience made me want to do this more often. It’s hard, but the reward is great!
So yeah, that’s my Kyurem raid story. If you’re playing Pokémon Go and you see a Kyurem raid, definitely go for it. Just make sure you’ve got some strong counters and maybe some friends to raid with. Good luck!
