Alright, let’s talk about my little adventure in Pokemon Go today. I was really hyped to take on some Poliwrath raids, but man, I kept getting my butt kicked. So, I decided to do a little digging and figure out what this swirling dude’s weaknesses are.
Getting Started
First, I jumped into a bunch of raids. I threw everything I had at Poliwrath – my strongest attackers, you name it. But those spirals on its belly? They weren’t just for show. This thing was tough! I burned through so many Revives and Potions, it wasn’t even funny. I needed a better strategy, and fast.

Digging for Weaknesses
After getting creamed a few times, I figured it was time to hit the books, well, the internet. I started browsing around, looking for any info on Poliwrath’s weaknesses. You know, the usual Pokemon forums and guides. Turns out, this guy has a few chinks in his armor.
- Psychic: This was a big one. Poliwrath is weak to Psychic attacks. My brain started buzzing. I had a pretty beefy Espeon and a decent Alakazam that I could level up.
- Flying: Another weakness! I remembered I had a powered-up Pidgeot and a Fearow that could dish out some serious damage.
- Electric: Shocking, right? Poliwrath doesn’t like Electric-types. My Jolteon and Raichu were ready to rumble.
- Grass: Yep, Grass is super effective too. I dusted off my Venusaur and my trusty Exeggutor. Time to bring the leafy pain!
- Fairy: Last but not least, Fairy-types can mess up Poliwrath. My Clefable was a bit weak, but I figured I could power it up if needed.
Testing and Tweaking
Armed with this newfound knowledge, I started leveling up and tweaking my Pokemon team. I spent a good chunk of Stardust and Candy getting my Psychic, Flying, Electric, Grass, and Fairy teams ready. I even used a few TMs to get the right movesets. It was a bit of a grind, but I was determined to crack this Poliwrath code.
Back to the Raids
Finally, I felt ready. I jumped back into a Poliwrath raid, and this time, things were different. My Espeon and Alakazam were tearing through Poliwrath’s health with Confusion and Psychic. My Pidgeot and Fearow were swooping in with Gust and Drill Peck. Jolteon and Raichu were zapping away with Thunderbolt and Thunder. Venusaur and Exeggutor were dishing out the pain with Razor Leaf and Solar Beam. And yeah, even my little Clefable got a few hits in with Dazzling Gleam.
And guess what? We took that Poliwrath down! It wasn’t a walk in the park, but it was a heck of a lot easier than before. I even managed to catch one, finally. It felt good, man. Real good. So, there you have it, my Poliwrath-busting adventure. Hope this helps anyone else struggling with this swirly menace in Pokemon Go!
