Okay, so, I’ve been wanting to make some custom Pokemon trainer cards for a while now. I’m a huge Pokemon fan, and I think it would be cool to have my own personalized card. So I did some digging.
First, I looked up what other people were using to make their cards. I saw that some people were using a website called “Pokemon Card Maker” I guess it’s pretty popular. Then some others were using something called “Kittl” to create their own Pokemon cards. I’m not really a design expert, so I’m not sure which one is better for me.
Then I started gathering the materials I needed. Obviously, I needed some images of myself and my favorite Pokemon. I picked out a few good photos of myself, and then I found some awesome, high-quality images of my Pokemon team. I made sure all the images were clear and had good lighting, because they’re gonna be the main focus of the card.

Next, I thought about the design of the card. I wanted it to look like a real Pokemon card, but with my own personal touch. I decided to go with a classic design, similar to the original cards from the 90s. I figured it would be easiest to just copy the layout of those older cards, using the same fonts and colors.
Then I used those websites to create the basic card structure. I entered my name, chose my Pokemon types and added my stats. I just followed the prompts on the websites and it was pretty simple, actually. It felt like filling out a form, but for a Pokemon card!
After I had the basic card, I started customizing it. I added in my photo and the images of my Pokemon. I played around with the placement until I was happy with how it looked. I also added some special effects, like a holographic background. It didn’t take too long to get everything just right.
Once I was satisfied with the design, I saved the card as a high-resolution image. I also made a few different versions, just to have some options. I even made one for my friend who’s just as obsessed with Pokemon as I am!
Finally, I printed out the cards on some high-quality cardstock. They looked amazing! I was really happy with how they turned out. It was so cool to see my own custom Pokemon trainer card in real life. I’ve been showing them off to all my friends. They’re pretty jealous, not gonna lie.
Overall, making these custom Pokemon trainer cards was a really fun project. It wasn’t too difficult, and the results were totally worth it. If you’re a Pokemon fan, I definitely recommend giving it a try!
